Ashoka UniversityUndergraduate · Economics and Finance · 2021
Vivaan Madhok is a dual-degree Master of Public Administration candidate at the London School of Economics and Columbia University, concentrating in Climate, Energy and Environment. He most recently worked at the World Bank Group's Energy and Extractives Global Practice, and was selected as one of six Climate Investment Funds Youth Fellows worldwide, working on renewable energy and blended finance programmes across small island developing states. That work taught him that the binding constraint in these markets is rarely capital itself, but the weak institutional capacity and absent de-risking structures that keep capital from ever arriving. Sustainability matters to him because the countries that contributed least to the problem will bear the most of it, and whether they can build their way through it turns on questions of financial design, which is exactly where he wants to do his work.

University of SouthamptonUndergraduate · Mathematics · 2027
I am a mathematics and machine learning researcher interested in using quantitative methods to understand complex systems and improve real-world decision-making. I am particularly drawn to sustainability because climate and resource challenges sit at the intersection of technology, economics, and society, where interventions can create wide-ranging second-order effects. Through the fellowship, I hope to explore how modelling and AI can help identify more effective and resilient pathways toward sustainable growth.

Fall 2026 · 3 monthsCarbon markets and MRV, with a focus on methane mitigation in livestock and climate finance for underserved sectors.
Amity University, Noida, IndiaGraduate · Environmental Science · 2023
I'm a climate tech entrepreneur and carbon markets specialist driven by one conviction: that carbon finance, built on genuine measurement and technology that works on the ground, can unlock climate action at a scale we haven't seen yet. As Co-Founder & Director of Carbon at eVerse.AI, I lead methane mitigation programmes covering over 20 million animals under Verra VM0041, building the MRV systems and market infrastructure that make credible carbon credit generation possible in sectors and geographies existing infrastructure has left behind. Sustainability matters to me because it sits at the intersection of hard science and real economic justice, and I've seen how the right combination of the two can change outcomes for entire communities. I'm working toward a carbon market where every tonne is real, every claim is traceable, and every dollar of climate finance reaches the people who need it most. I hold an ISO 14064 certification, am a Terra.do Fellow for Climate Action, and am a Gold Medalist in Environmental Sciences from Amity University.
Carbon markets and MRV, with a focus on methane mitigation in livestock and climate finance for underserved sectors. An AI-powered digital twin for hard-to-abate sectors in India, identifying emission hotspots and helping with CCTS compliance.
This project builds a software-based digital twin for hard-to-abate industrial sectors in India, using AI to model facility-level emissions and pinpoint hotspots across production processes. It takes a gate-to-gate approach, mapping emissions intensity at each stage within the facility boundary, allowing for precise identification of high-impact intervention points on the shop floor. The output is designed to directly support compliance under India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), helping obligated entities track their emissions trajectory, benchmark against sector targets, and identify credit generation or purchase needs ahead of compliance deadlines.

Fall 2026 · 3 monthsCommunity protection though supply chain accountability.
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Undergraduate · Community Development and Environment · 2023
I am a Kenyan community development and sustainability professional. My work mostly focuses on ensuring that communities are protected from destructive corporate practices. I achieve this by raising awareness on how companies can integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices into their operations to secure continuous social acceptance in the areas where they work. What drives my work is the hope that if sustainability considerations are embedded into business models, local communities will be safeguarded. Sustainability matters to me because I want to live in a world that stops selfishly taking from the planet, shifting instead toward a mindful approach, one where we reduce our negative impacts or eliminate them entirely.
